Packaging to suit the strong Bärenmarke brand – Hochwald saves 50% plastic with Elopak

Hochwald is switching all fresh milk and dairy drinks to Pure-Pak® from Elopak

Hochwald switched the longlife milk products under the umbrella brand “Bärenmarke” already back in 2022. The successful relaunch in the aseptic field has now been followed mid of 2024 by the system change in the fresh segment.

With the installation of four Elopak filling machines at the production site in Hungen (3 lines with 14,000 pack/h in “Standard” format, 1 line with 7,000 pack/h in “Mini” format), the entire range of fresh milk and dairy drinks has therefore been switched to Pure-Pak®.

The relaunch of the fresh range with more environmentally-friendly packaging and a 50% reduction of plastics also benefits regional brands such as “Hochwald” or “Tuffi”, in addition to the “Bärenmarke” brand. In combination with the latest Elopak filling technology, it is helping Hochwald to reduce the CO2 emissions even further and also offers increased efficiency in production.

„With extensive experience in the system business, Elopak is the ideal partner for the relaunch of our fresh product range in carton packaging”, says Daniel Birker, plant manager at the Hungen site. “The cooperation is ultra-professional and we value the strong customer focus of the project team. We were looking for a system solution that is robust and reliable, as well as offering impressive flexibility and intuitive operation.“
